چکیده
As technology and innovations in unmanned aerial vehicles progress, so does the need for regulations place to create safe controlled flying scenarios. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is a governing body under United States Department of Transportation that responsible wide range regulatory activities related airspace. In recently published final rule, FAA addresses several concerns such as system identify all aircrafts national airspace, well implementation separate from prevalent Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast prevent interference with manned aircrafts. Their solution these deployment remote identification (RID) on aircraft systems (UAS) its implied jurisdiction. While US agencies retain use word UAS now, International Civil Organization terminology remotely piloted systems. describes RID “ Digital license plate” They outline additional policies including options compliance, operating rules, design production guidelines manufacturers. September 2023 deadline compliance draws near, this article highlights possible applications challenges.

متن کاملUnmanned aircraft systems as wingmen
This paper introduces a method to integrate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs) into a highly functional manned/ unmanned team through the design and implementation of 3D distributed formation/flight control algorithms with the goal to act as wingmen for a manned aircraft. The proposed algorithms are designed to increase UAS autonomy, dynamically modify formations, utilize standard operating forma...
متن کاملChoosing Replanning Strategies for Unmanned Aircraft Systems
Unmanned aircraft systems use a variety of techniques to plan collision-free flight paths given a map of obstacles and nofly zones. However, maps are not perfect and obstacles may change over time or be detected during flight, which may invalidate paths that the aircraft is already following. Thus, dynamic in-flight replanning is required. Numerous strategies can be used for replanning, where t...
